Tapah is one of the major rest and service areas along the north-south expressway, making it a hotspot for travellers. We wanted to create an interesting spatial experience that would resonate with the ever-growing technological age and digital culture, making Tapah an iconic destination. It was important to us that the design was approached in a completely unprecedented manner in order to increase the potential for improving the image of the locale, at the same time maximising profitability by encouraging a more engaging and interactive response with users. The use of minimalistic and fresh materials as a base for the architecture, allows the pop of colours to bring a sense of brightness and joy.
